A scope or sight makes playing air-soft much more fun in many ways. Without having one you need to get one!
Whilst not as vital as say for air rifle shooting in which you frequently have to hit a 5p size target at 30 metres an air-soft scope might help in different ways
Telescopic scopes improve longer distance targeted shot precision - Very handy for sniping.Brilliant for recognizing enemy in cover (ambushes!) and - or at ranges way beyond rifle range.Red-colored us dot and laser sights improve hit rates in fast reflex CQB and mad skirmishes. Not to mention they create any air-soft rifle look very awesome and therefore are lots of fun to make use of (which has to count for a great deal I reckon)
You will find 3 types to think about -
1 - Telescopic scopes Because the title indicates you receive magnified vision. These are perfect for snipers and general rifle combat.
Come in an array of dimensions, for instance -
3-9x40 is easily the most popular general purpose type but what am i saying?
3-9 - Means the zoom. Within this example could be called between 3 and 9x (and all sorts of amounts among)Very handy for multiple situations and ranges.40 = lens size in millimeters. 40mm is an extremely good size. Good light capture along with a wide area of view although not excessively bulky.By comparison a 4x32 means 4 x zoom only via a 32mm lens.
Mix fur - You will find many types however for air-soft use you don't have to be worried about this to much except like a fashion factor!
The 30-30 type is fairly standard and it is fine (much like a traditional plain X hair)You will see others with Mil Us dot the military standard mix hair.Only the job it may seem but they're more costly and also the mil us dot stuff is essentially a variety finding and distance estimation aid that's of little use until distances over a few hundred meters are arrived at. A pleasant to possess but you do not need it.
Types 2 and three Red-colored us dot and Laser sightsThese aren't magnified - a specific item may be the real size because it is.Ideal for FIBUA, CQB and shut quarter stuff in which you need reflex in the stylish or fast semi targeted eye to sight shots (a la SWAT style)Ideal for guns too.
2 - Red-colored us dot sightProjects a red-colored (or eco-friendly) us dot onto within the lens.Solve these questions . check this out us dot - hopefully in your target. You fire and also you hit.Very handy for reflex combat and guns. The higher the lens the greater. 20mm is typical and OK. 40mm more pricey but far better. (Tasco perform some great ones)
3 - Laser sightsIdentical principle towards the red-colored us dot except the us dot is "noticeably visible"" around the target - anybody can easily see it.Brilliant for frightening the hell from the enemy, however it can provide you with away too so use carefully!Very best in low light, but any decent laser will still provide you with visible us dot even just in standard daylight, though effective range is going to be a smaller amount.Various kinds, some will go on the top of the telescopic sight.Others could be mounted thrown underneath the barrel or pistol grip.Makes include, the SMK LS1, LS2 and LS3 models, Hawke Tactical, Beamshot and Cybergun Universal. Each one is excellent with SMK staying at your budget finish (I sell lots of them on ebay)
Mounts and base rails - Extremely Important! An essential area and something that triggers lots of confusion on ebay! - To suit a scope or sight to some rifle of pistol there has to be somewhere to clamp it onto. Is sensible yes? (to not many people it does not!)
